PROBLEMS ACCESSING WATER RESOURCES

Only about 3% of total water available in the world is fresh water, although 2/3 portion 0f fresh water are in frozen condition in the glaciers. This fresh water is getting more and more limitation due to bad practice by human through the world. The common problems to accessing of water resources are;

  •  In adequate sanitation is a biggest threat to accessing of fresh water.
  • The human population has harnessed many of the world’s natural waterways—building dams, water wells, vast irrigation systems and other structures that have allowed civilizations to grow and thrive. Water system increasingly stressed and some rivers, lakes, and aquifers are drying.
  • Water pollution comes from many sources including pesticides and fertilizers that wash away from farms, untreated human wastewater, and industrial waste.
  • Climate change has caused receding glaciers, reduced stream and river flow, and shrinking lakes and ponds.
  • Ground water- about 30% of Earth's fresh water laid deep underground in aquifers. And it's extracted daily for farming, drinking and industrial processes – often at dangerously unsustainable rates.
  • Water infrastructure is causes of water lost during treatment, transportation and distribution. Also an enormous quantity of water lost due to bad sanitation every year.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Water is the basic need for guaranteeing the life of all living beings on the planet. To access water, sanitation and hygiene is a fundamental right of the people and yet billions of people throughout the world are battling daily against enormous difficulties to accessing the most basic need of water and the Water Treatment Plant can fulfil to access most hygiene water for the people through the world.

CONCLUSSION

About 2.1 billion people since 1990 have gained improved access to better water and sanitation services; the decreasing availability of quality drinking water is an important problem afflicting all continents. It is estimated that at least 1 out of every 2 people will be affected by water scarcity by 2050. The solution for the water crisis of different countries is to protect fresh water and it production. Waste water treatment can solve partly to this situation. Desalination of sea water can be a great solution of water crisis throughout the globe. So, importance should be given to water, it treatment and plant to solve the water crisis world wide.
